Car and Driver Editors' Choice Honorees for 2025
ANN ARBOR, MI (January 29, 2025) – Car and Driver today unveiled its annual Editors’ Choice award winners
“The Editors’ Choice awards let consumers quickly cut through the confusion of the new-car market to help them focus on the vehicles they should seriously consider buying,” said Tony Quiroga, editor-in-chief of Car and Driver. “Think of this list as the honor roll of the new-car world, the top players in their respective segments and vehicles we recommend to our readers, family, and friends.”
The criteria used to select the Editors’ Choice winners include the results of Car and Driver’s industry-leading rigorous instrumented testing
Notable trends among this year’s winners include:
* Affordability: Car buyers looking to spend less will find several affordable Editors’ Choice winners. Price-focused SUV shoppers, for instance, can choose from several Editors’ Choice winners such as the Chevrolet Trax, the Honda CR-V Hybrid, and the Kia Telluride.
* Hybrids: Hybrid vehicle sales grew rapidly last year, and the Editors’ Choice winners reflect that growing interest. Top choices such as the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid, the Toyota Prius Hybrid, and the Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid are all Editors’ Choice winners.
