Toyota Recalls Certain 2023 Toyota Mirai, and Certain 2023-2024 Lexus LS, LC and ES

PLANO, Texas (Feb. 21, 2024) – Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Japan, North America and Asia. The recall involves certain Mirai and LS, LC, ES in North America. For the U.S., approximately 19,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.

Due to a software programming issue, the rearview image may not display within the period of time required by certain U.S. safety regulations after the driver shifts the vehicle into reverse, increasing the risk of a crash while backing the vehicle.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota and Lexus dealers will update the software for the Panoramic View Monitor system at no cost to customers.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late April 2024.

Toyota Recalls Certain 2023-2024 Toyota Camry, Camry Hybrid Vehicles

PLANO, Texas (Feb. 21, 2024) – Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain Toyota Camry and Camry Hybrid vehicles in the U.S. Approximately 4,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.

The two head restraints on the 60% portion of the rear fold down seats in the involved vehicles may have poor welds on a bracket that can cause the vehicles not to comply with a federal safety standard. This can affect head restraint performance and increase the risk of injury during certain collisions.

For all applicable vehicles, Toyota dealers will replace the 60% rear seat back frame sub-assembly at no cost to customers. Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late April 2024.

Toyota Recalls Certain 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra, Sequoia and Lexus LX 600 Models

PLANO, Texas (Feb. 21, 2024) – Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain 2022-2024 model year Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid, 2023-2024 model year Sequoia and 2022-2024 model year Lexus LX 600 vehicles in the U.S. Approximately 280,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.

Certain parts of the transmission may not immediately disengage when the vehicle is shifted to the neutral position. This can allow some engine power to continue to be transferred to the wheels and can allow the vehicle to inadvertently creep forward at a low speed when it is on a flat surface and no brakes are applied, leading to an increased risk of a crash.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota and Lexus dealers will update the software for the transmission at no cost to customers. Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late April 2024.
