A redesign of a proven popular car can be tricky but the new Accord's choice of smooth lines and subtlety is quite smart and shows that appealing to both the right and left sides of the brain is a good path to take. Upgrading the interior, tech, and safety systems as well as the powerplant makes a lot of sense when you start with one of the leaders of the pack.

The hybrid powerplant has a sport mode that suits the road and traffic limitations in our current infrastructure. In other words, you will not use it very often, but when you do, you will appreciate the response and stability. And there will be times when you will be lucky enough to have enough open road to have some fun.

The front seats and dash are designed for very good visibility and the ergonomics (reachability) of controls are straightforward, to the point, and user friendly.
