The 2023 version of VW's all electric ID.4 has reduced its sticker price outfitting it with a slightly smaller battery pack, and at the same time added an upgraded navigation tool that will plot charging stops for long trips and a filter that locates fast charging facilities because this edition can take 170 kW input charging. The AWD Pro S trim can achieve a range of 275 miles and the all wheel drive system creates noticeably heightened driving experience and confidence when dealing with this winters atmospheric river deluge in California.
The interior is clean and uncluttered. Front seats accommodate all shapes and sizes with snazzy blue ambient lighting.

Front hip room 54.4 in.
The rear seats won applause for comfort as witnessed by a young granddaughter falling asleep...
Rear head room 37.9 in.
Rear leg room 37.6 in.
Rear shoulder room 55.9 in.
Rear hip room 46.7 in.
...although the quiet ride and pitter-patter of rain drops on the not-so sunny sunroof helped.
Cargo capacity with seats upright is a very useful 30.3 cu.ft. which can expand to 64.2 cu.ft. with seats down and cargo cover removed.
The infotainment system worked well by using voice commands by the driver and letting the passenger in the shotgun seat do the touch sensitive controls.
