An All Electric Crossover Shuttlecraft

As expected, Mazda created a crossover EV with outstanding handling and suspension. With a range of 100 miles on a full charge, it fits the need of urban and suburban Californians as a shuttlecraft for all those short trips that make up so much of modern lifestyles. California currently leads the nation in charging stations - that auto-oriented state now has nearly 80,000 public and shared private electric vehicle chargers, so it makes sense that the Golden State will be its primary market.
Lifting the hood of the MX-30 reveals the roomiest engine imaginable - the highlighted area in the above photo is empty space, but it's all about weight distribution that helps create outstanding ride and handling.
The interior has a clean modern style with materials which interestingly include light , dense cork window sills.
The rear 60/40 bench seat requires the front seat folks to scoot a bit forward.
The rear seat is accessed via rear hinged doors, often called "suicide" doors.
Exiting the rear seats is simplified with powered buttons on the back of the front seats.
The MX-30 Premium includes full sized moonroof.
As well as a Bose audio system for full-ranged sounds.
The digital dash gauges are crisp and clear.
The infotainment screen is well placed on the dash...
and controlled by a multi featured dial.
The safety features on the Premium Plus trim are quite extensive:
Anti-lock Brake System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution
Brake Assist
Dynamic Stability Control with Traction Control
System Smart Brake Support
Lane Departure Warning System
Lane-keep Assist
Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop
Go8 Driver Attention Alert
High Beam Control
Rearview camera with static line guidance
Engine-immobilizer anti-theft system
Keyless remote panic button
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Blind Spot Monitoring
Blind Spot Assist
Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Smart Brake Support
Adaptive Front-lighting System
360° View Monitor
Front Cross Traffic Alert
Front and rear parking sensors
So if your transport needs rarely exceed 30 miles per day, this could be the shuttlecraft you're looking for.
