Beyond Protocol Is Rewarding EV Users With Crypto When They Charge Their Cars // CEO Available to Discuss

Carey,

Blockchain startup Beyond Protocol has unveiled its latest use case which is rewarding EV owners when they charge their cars. The layer 0 token which uses the power of the blockchain and nodes combined to provide the highest level of security for device owners has now moved into the electric vehicle arena. These vehicles which can cost a pretty penny are now able to earn for their owners by doing a basic function.

To speak about how blockchain is powering the electric vehicle revolution, I have available for interviews Beyond Protocol CEO Jonathan Manzi.

The program comes with a hardware wallet that will be installed inside the cars. All of the cryptocurrencies (BPEV$ tokens) earned from charging activities are sent to this wallet, which the owner can access. These tokens can then be held by the EV owners, sold, or exchanged for other digital assets or fiat currencies.

Beyond Protocol has already partnered with some heavy hitters in the industry to get its product out there. Most notable of these are Stripe, DoorDash, and Cisco.

Beyond Protocol has also partnered with the European Union Commission on an eBike charging station outside Slovenia's Parliament. The station is a first of its kind, located where key policymakers meet, and powered by blockchain, which authenticates each bike and provides a full charge of electricity.

Beyond Protocol is scaling out this concept by building out charging stations for electric cars throughout Slovenia in partnership with Stripe. Its most recent station was installed this past week ahead of the holidays.

Jonathan's Talking Points:

· Blockchain use cases this past year highlighted the power of DeFi, the Metaverse, and digital assets. We are expecting to see bigger campaigns around IoT devices which use blockchain to authenticate communication between devices.
· Electric vehicles are the natural place to begin with IoT devices, since emerging markets are often quickest to adapt emerging technologies
· IoT devices can be structured with protocols that provide payment to devices and owners via different cryptocurrencies.
· Blockchain makes the most sense to build and scale charging infrastructure with because it is unhackable. Ransomware attackers are increasingly targeting critical infrastructure which can destabilize entire regions and countries. Blockchain keeps systems secure from hostile actors.
