New study reveals the noisiest drivers during lockdown

Noise from vehicles can be annoying, especially early in the morning or late at
night and many found the roads to be eerily quiet during the lockdown. Despite
this, many areas of the UK received over 100 vehicle-related noise complaints
last year, according to comparethemarket.com.
Their new study  has revealed that beyond London, County Durham tops the list of
locations with the highest number of complaints. With 162 complaints in the past
year.

By collating the data from local councils, the study also revealed that outside
of the capital, six areas most of which are rural, still have more than 100
noise related complaints about vehicles in the area.

 * Looking beyond London, Durham tops the list of locations with the highest
   number of complaints. The North Eastern county received 162 complaints in the
   past year.
   
   
 * Leeds follows with 156 complaints, as well as some of the southern areas of
   the UK including Cherwell (153 complaints) and Cornwall (146 complaints).
   
   
 * The South East and West Midlands, rank as the regions with the noisiest areas
   outside of London. They both hold 5 areas each with the most amount of
   vehicle related noise complaints.
