PENSICOLA, FL - July 28, 2020: Bobby Likis, automotive repair-maintenance guru and talk show superstar, has put his beautiful 1980 Porsche 911SC Weissach Coupe up for auction, and you can bid on it.

This 1980 Porsche 911SC is one of approximately 400 Weissach Coupes produced and was purchased by the seller in 1985 from his cousin, who reportedly acquired it from the original owner. Finished in Black Metallic over Doric Grey, the car is powered by its numbers-matching 3.0L flat-six and also retains its original five-speed manual transaxle. Additional factory equipment includes a limited-slip differential, electric sunroof, front and rear spoilers, sport seats, and 15? Fuchs wheels finished in Platinum Metallic. A refurbishment was carried out from 1995 through 2004, and included an exterior repaint and interior refurbishment. The engine also received a top-end reseal and was fitted with upgraded chain tensioners and a European fuel distributor. The brakes and air conditioning system were overhauled in 2019, as outlined in the listing below. This 911SC is now offered with service records, a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, factory service manuals, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

During the refurbishment, Bobby the seller had the factory sport seats and door panels reupholstered in the factory Doric Grey. New red carpeting was also installed, door lock knobs, window switches, and sun visors were recovered. The seller sourced matching tan vinyl for the dashboard. Photos of the interior refresh in progress are attached in the gallery below. The turn signal stalk and pedal board were replaced in 2019.

The air conditioning system was overhauled in 2019 with a rotary compressor, a new Giffiths evaporator and expansion valve, and an R134a refrigerant conversion. The heater blower and plastic air ducts were also replaced. The seller has provided a video showing a thermometer reading of 35°F at the air vent with the A/C running.

A 150-mph speedometer has been installed in place of the stock 85-mph unit, and the six-digit odometer shows 99k miles. The seller has added 48k miles during 35 years of ownership, and the car has been driven about 2k miles since the refurbishment was completed in 2004. An aftermarket head unit has been installed and is connected to three Blaupunkt amplifiers mounted in the front trunk.
