Plus, news and happenings at Lime Rock Park Your Lime Rock Park Fan News Volume 2, Issue 4 Trans Am Series Season Opener Happening This Weekend Sebring Welcomes 61-Car Entry The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli will open its 2019 campaign this weekend (March 1- 3, 2019) at the same circuit where it debuted in 1966, returning to the legendary Sebring International Raceway to kick off the year. With over 60 cars fielded by a deep roster of drivers, the 2019 Trans Am season is expected to see a strong year with 12 events in 11 states, including Lime Rock Park on Memorial Day weekend. The entry list features drivers from 22 states hailing from as far afield as Brazil, Argentina, Panama and Canada. Four classes- TA, TA2 powered by AEM, SuperGT (formerly TA3) and GT (formerly TA4), will do battle in a pair of races on Sebring’s notoriously tough 3.74-mile circuit on Sunday. Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) also takes to the Sebring road course this weekend for the Sebring Vintage Classic featuring vintage and contemporary race cars.
