He has competed in 904 rounds of Pro Stock racing entering the event. * Line has two wins in five Phoenix final rounds. When the schedule was shortened to 18 races, though, he was encouraged by his mom, Dottie, to reconsider. * Butner's victory in Pomona two weeks ago was the 150th Pro Stock win for KB Racing, the acclaimed group racing out of Ken Black's race shop in Mooresville, North Carolina * Butner, an accomplished NHRA Sportsman racer who earned the Comp Eliminator season title in 2006 and has four Division 3 championships, has one win in Phoenix – he beat Mark Faul in Super Stock for the trophy in 2002 * Butner has a total of eight Pro Stock wins on his scorecard * The Floyds Knobs, Indiana-based driver is engaged to Randi Lyn Shipp, a Stock Eliminator competitor who favors Phoenix; she won there in 2011 (her first national event win) and 2016 Quotes: "After winning Pomona last year, I didn’t win again until the second-to-last race of the year.
