A SHUNPIKER’S JOURNAL RADIO PROGRAM

The next installment of A Shunpiker’s Journal begins streaming Wednesday, February 6th and will run for 3 to 4 weeks.

Listen to the program live-streamed at www.michiganbusinessnetwork.com every Wednesday at 1 PM and 7 PM and every Thursday at 1 AM and 7 AM. Or go to the Website, click on “Shows and Hosts,” and find me. Podcasts will be available shortly after the show’s first streaming.

Segments 1-2: The Drive Home - with auto journalist Bill Hall

The Drive Home is in its fourth year as an inspired promotional project between the LeMay - America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington and the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, epic road trips in old, Detroit-built cars crossing large expanses of the U.S. in the dead of winter. Bill has driven the whole length of all four covering them for Hemmings Motor News. In fact his coverage won an Automotive Heritage Journalism Award last year.

Segments 3-4: Diane Flis-Schneider from America’s Automotive Trust

Our friend and colleague “Detroit Diane” has also driven in The Drive Home events and represents America’s Automotive Trust, an umbrella organization under which the LeMay Museum, the RPM Foundation and other entities exist to secure and promote automotive heritage. She is also a car collector and former executive director for the Concours d’Elegance of America at St. Johns. We talk about a variety of automotive heritage topics.

Segments 5-6: Auto industry pundit and publisher of the AutoInformed blog site, Ken Zino

Ken is one of our favorite pundits, a fellow never accused of being timid. Few people are more deeply steeped in the auto business as he. We wrap up the North American International Auto Show in Detroit that is experiencing unprecedented changes, as are motor shows around the world. The NAIAS is moving to June for 2020 and changing its character dramatically.
