AAPC Statement on China Auto Tariffs
WASHINGTON, D.C. December 14, 2018; Gov. Matt Blunt, president of the American Automotive Policy Council, issued the following statement on China’s action to suspend retaliatory auto tariffs for three months:
“We appreciate the Trump administration’s efforts to restore equal market access with the rest of the world. We believe this welcome news from China will benefit U.S. automakers and their employees. We also hope it represents the first step in a longer-term resolution of the U.S.-China trade tensions.”
The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) is a Washington, D.C. association that represents the common public policy interests of its member companies FCA US LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company.
