MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Walser Automotive Group, ranked a top 150 automotive dealer group in the U.S. in 2018 by Automotive News, announced today it will launch expanded paid parental leave benefits to allow for greater employee flexibility while balancing the needs of work and family priorities.
Beginning January 1, 2019, Walser’s paid parental leave will provide paid time off for maternity, paternity, and adoption leave. The paid parental leave will apply to all eligible Walser employees.
“At Walser, we design our benefit programs with our employees’ values in mind. Our employees have told us that family is one of the most important things to them. We listened, and we responded,” said Andrew Walser, Walser CEO.
Just as Walser Automotive Group pioneered the one-price sales model in 2001, and later, the one-price, one-person strategy in 2011, Walser is stepping forward as an automotive industry leader again to support its employees with a comprehensive paid parental leave policy, allowing Walser staff—women and men—to succeed to their fullest potential.
In concert with Walser’s new paid parental leave policy, Walser is excited to announce the first-ever automotive retail partnership with Care.com, called Care@work.
With the incorporation of Care.com’s membership to Walser’s benefits program, Walser employees will have the ability to find, manage, and pay for family care anytime, anywhere from any device. This includes unlimited digital access to an online network of babysitters, in-home child care, tutors, eldercare, house cleaners and pet sitters. Walser employees will also have access to a broad network of daycare providers with discounted rates as well as five days of emergency Backup Care.
Care.com is the world's largest online marketplace for finding and managing family care, with more than 29.6 million members, spanning 20 countries.
“Our focus as an organization is to listen to our employees, embrace what they value, and drive programs that bring what matters most to them to life,” said Sherry Schultz, Walser’s Chief Human Resources Officer.
Walser Automotive Group is committed to changing the way people buy a car. Walser knows that journey starts by attracting and retaining talent that reflects the marketplaces in which it serves. Walser is committed to supporting its workforce with impactful, meaningful benefits at work and at home.
