The Ford GT, of which there are 138 so far (this is #109), is a hard-to-come-by masterpiece of minimalism introduced by Ford in 2016 after secret development. Meant to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original GT40's 1966 triumph at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the car was entered by Ford in the 2016 Le Mans race and won, making it all that much more of a coveted acquisition.

According to Newport Car Museum Founder Gunther Buerman, who recently added 15 other new cars to the museum's now 70+ car exhibit, there will be no letting up on keeping the Museum fresh and interesting.

"The Newport Car Museum is like an English Garden, where around every corner there is another delight," said Buerman.
