Self-Driving Cars: Great Data Visuals
Hi The Auto Channel!
Self-driving cars are going to change the roads forever, but they are also dividing opinions.
Because of the recent concerns surrounding their safety, Moneybarn.com<https://www.moneybarn.com/> has decided to investigate whether driverless cars are truly safer than manned vehicles.
You can read the full article here: https://www.moneybarn.com/blog/latest-motor-news/self-driving-cars/
Some fascinating takes include:
* Autonomous vehicles were over 28 times less likely to crash than the most at-risk human drivers, 16-17 year olds, and over 4 times less likely to crash than the safest demographic of human drivers.
* 78% of American motorists are afraid to ride in a self-driving vehicle. 48% of UK motorists are not looking forward to travelling in driverless vehicles, and only 27% believe they will lead to safer roads.
* McKinsey & Company report a 90% reduction in car accidents once autonomous vehicles are available. Based on current fatality rates of car accidents worldwide, this could save over 965,000 lives a year.
Do you think this is something your readers would find interesting? I can send over any high-res images/gifs or any other information if needed.
Kind Regards,
