While the term 'Supercar' makes you think of luxury, high-performance and power - in 2018, could this also include off-roading ability and enough space to comfortably fit a family? The surge in sales of SUVs worldwide has forced Supercar manufacturers to take notice.

With 5.51 million SUVs sold in Europe in 2017 alone - you may still be surprised to find that a high percentage of Supercar brands sales figures are coming from SUVs:

*59.51% of Maserati's sales came from the Maserati Levante in 2017 - with Porsche's Cayenne & Macan and Bentley's Bentayga sales closely following.

*Spring 2018 will see the launch of Lamborghini Urus - set to be the most exciting super SUV yet.

*By 2020, SUVs are expected to account for more than a third of Europe's car sales.

So will the supercars of 2018 be SUVs? Select Car Leasing have taken a look at the sales and recent growth in this market, how supercar brands are getting involved and what separates a 'super SUV' from a regular SUV.
