Movie Night At The Petersen Automotive Museum: The Man & Le Mans
When: February 18 | 6:30pm
Where: Bruce Meyer Family Gallery
Join us for our monthly movie night, held on the second floor of the museum in the Bruce Meyer Family Gallery. This month we will be screening the film The Man & Le Mans.
Steve McQueen was the “King of Cool,” a leading actor as well as a prolific racer. Riding his popularity, he in 1970 began production of his dream project, Le Mans, a film about the famed 24-hour race. Problems developed immediately, with budget issues, on-set rivalries, and personal issues threatening the whole endeavor. The Man & Le Mans explores this story through recently uncovered footage and McQueen's personal recordings.
Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
