Australian four-wheeled hero Mark Webber has been pre-announced as a member of the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame.

Webber will be joined by 20 other inductees at a ceremony in Melbourne in March ahead of the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix

Through pure determination Mark Webber reached the dizzy heights of Formula 1 winning nine races from a total of 215 starts in motor sports premier category.

After joining Porsche in 2015 he was crowned World Endurance Champion, before retiring from racing at the end of last year.

His achievements have been recognised with pre-announcement into the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame.

In its third year, the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Friday March 23 in Melbourne as part of the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend.

The black-tie event is open to the public and Webber says it’s the ultimate night for Australian motor sports fans.
