EMERYVILLE, Calif.—Exponential Interactive, one of the largest digital advertising companies, reaching more than 700 million users monthly, has launched a new VDX Content Amplifier offering that takes curated content from partner media and inserts it into scalable, interactive, and engaging VDX (Video-Driven Experience) ad units, which come in a variety of formats including live stream and 360-degree video. TEN: A Discovery Communications Company, the largest automotive media company in the world, is among one of the first media partners for Exponential’s new VDX Content Amplifier offering.
To commemorate this partnership, Exponential will host a Partnership Reception today in conjunction with JD Power AMR 2017 at Beauty and Essex at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas to celebrate and invite new and existing valued customers to hear about this exclusive partnership. In attendance will be Megan Neal, TEN’s VP of Social Media, to discuss use cases of how auto marketers are applying TEN’s content to improve their ROI and sell cars.
Exponential is launching this offering with TEN to help auto marketers attract consumers. Research shows that consumers are increasingly moving away from shopping for cars in-person and are relying more on online reviews and research to make their purchasing decisions. For example, consumers are now visiting less than two dealerships on average before buying a car. According to Nielsen, there is a 15 percent lift in purchase consideration for new cars after consumers read third-party expert content.
“Exponential’s VDX Content Amplifier offering drives user engagements and provides a validation source for a consumer’s decision-making process. Partnership integrations like TEN strengthen our offering by providing automotive advertisers with highly credible and relevant content that helps to move cars off the lot,” said Danielle Cravatt, SVP, Head of Sales, Exponential.
For its offering, Exponential inserts content from publisher partners into custom VDX ad units. TEN offers credible and unbiased content from brands like MOTOR TREND. Auto marketers can tout specific awards associated with different makes and models, and provide credible, expert reviews with an advertorial voice.
“We’re happy to be partnering with Exponential and extending our content beyond our own sites. The interactive nature of the VDX ads were particularly appealing to us, as it allows our content to be presented in an engaging and dynamic way to readers,” said Jason Rice, SVP, Media Solutions & Strategy, at TEN. “Our goal is to provide consumers with expert guidance on cars and we feel this relationship with Exponential allows us to stay true to this goal.”
