The Crandon World Cup Weekend at "The Big House" in Crandon, Wisconsin saw Bruce
Fraley battle tough track conditions as well as the stout 1600 Buggy field of drivers.
The end result kept the veteran racer just three points behind the points leader
as the TORC Series presented by AMSOIL heads to the final weekend of the season
later this month in Elk River, Minnesota.

Racing began on Friday afternoon immediately following the traditional downtown
Crandon parade. The eight lap race would feature the traditional land rush start
while the racing would continue on the one mile long Crandon Stadium short-course
layout.

The race began with Fraley coming out of Turn One in the middle of the fifteen car
pack. The race length of ten laps and each lap taking approximately sixty seconds.
Bruce Fraley would have less time than usual to get to the frontrunners. As the
laps were counted down, the familiar bright yellow buggy did work his way through
the field and reached the runner-up spot when the checkered flag came out. More
importantly Fraley gained two points on the Championship points leader Tony Keepers,
which left only a one-point gap heading into Saturday's World Championship round
 of racing.

Saturday morning saw a short but intense rain storm sweep through the Crandon area
just before the day's race program was about to begin. Somehow the race crew was
able to get the race track ready for racing by one o'clock in the afternoon. This
meant the 1600 Buggy race would be later in the day and due to time constraints,
 only eight laps in length.

Once again Fraley found himself in the middle of the field heading out of Turn One.
Unfortunately, he was involved in some contact that put the Las Vegas driver nearly
at the rear of the field. Then add to the fact the track was still somewhat muddy
and the sun was beginning to disappear behind the trees, the run to the front would
be a tough task at best. Regardless, Bruce pressed on and finished a well-deserved
fourth place. At the same time points leader Tony Keepers finished second, which
meant Fraley was once again three points behind in the championship standings.
"The final three rounds of racing will be in a couple of weeks at ERX and I know
Tony will be ready and so will I,' commented Bruce Fraley. "It will be a very interesting
and entertaining weekend as the championship will probably come down to the final
lap of the season. To get to this point in the season I couldn't have done it without
the support of my wife and family, Larry and Gloria Hammond. Along with great support
at the track from Shawn Morris and all my other sponsors EPI Powder Coating, Howe
Performance, FAT Performance, Dave Folts Transmissions, Freeman Carpet Service,
Kartek Off-Road and BFGoodrich Tires."

The final three rounds of racing in the TORC Series presented by AMSOIL is September
22-24 in Elk River, Minnesota.
