The 15-minute qualifying session this afternoon for the two-hour and 40-minute race saw the Ferrari team from Houston, Texas take a spot on the second row of the grid, in the fourth qualifying position. Former Formula One driver Fisichella, from Rome, Italy, qualified with a time of 1:40.606 and will start the race tomorrow at 1:35 p.m. EDT Sunday. Finish teammate Vilander will then take the wheel of the Ferrari 488 GTLM to bring the Prancing Horse home to the checkered flag. The GTLM class polesitter was Joey Hand in the No. 66 Ford with a time of 1:40.211. Risi Competizione Qualifying Driver, Giancarlo Fisichella Giancarlo Fisichella, driver, No. 62 Ferrari 488 GTLM: "I think we can be satisfied about (qualifying on) the second row. We got quite close and considering we've missed the last four races and all the testing, I think we did a great job. This morning (in P3) I was the quickest so I was hoping for a first row in qualifying, but I think the other people put a bit more into the qualifying session and we need a bit more straight line speed, but it's ok. It's a good position for the start of the race tomorrow and the car balance in the long run was okay. So, we'll see what happens." Toni Vilander, driver, No. 62 Ferrari 488 GTLM: "First of all, it's good to be back. The competition is very tight. Once again we were P1 in practice session 3. We repeated more or less the time we had in P3 and others just find three or four tenths in qualifying. Overall I would say both of us (drivers) are happy with the set-up of the car. There's not many more things to ask for from the car but I think we are still down to the leading cars on the straight line speed. I know it's a never-ending story with BoP, but to be P1 today we would need a little more horsepower." Rick Mayer, Risi Competizione Race Engineer: "It was not a bad qualifying, P4. That's a good place to start the race. It's good to be back and that's good considering its our first race after a short hiatus. I think Giancarlo might have had a little bit more. He had a little bit of a bobble in the Oak Tree (turn), but I don't think we could have beat Joey (Hand, the pole sitter).
