Bodymotion Racing Seeks to Maintain or Expand
Its GS Point Lead Saturday at Road America

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., Aug. 2 - Bodymotion Racing, the Ocean Township, N.J.-based team
that is leading the Grand Sport (GS) point standings in the IMSA Continental Tire
Sportscar Challenge series, will try to maintain or expand its point lead Saturday
afternoon in the Road America 120 at Road America.
"We are in a very close (too close) battle for the championship in the GS class,"
said team owner Mike Bavaro. "We are in a points-must-maintain-or-gain position
from here out. Both of our GS drivers have good pace at Road America. We can only
hope our Porsche GT4 can match that pace and our determination."
His two GS drivers are the 2014 champion, Trent Hindman of Wayside, N.J., and Cameron
Cassels of Coldstream, British Columbia, Canada. Bodymotion, Delaware Investments
and Trim Tex sponsor their No. 12 Porsche Cayman GT4. Hindman and Cassels have a
five-point lead, 167 to 162, out of 48 drivers who have earned GS points in the
six races so far this year in the 10-race series.
The team also fields the No. 31 Porsche Cayman sponsored by Bodymotion, VeriStor,
the Apex Sports Car Academy and Delaware Investments in the series' Street Tuner
class. Devin Jones of Mooresville, N.C. and Drake Kemper of Thermal, Calif., usually
drive it. Jones will be competing in the NASCAR Xfinity race at Watkins Glen, N.Y.
on Saturday, however, so Colin Thompson of Doylestown, Pa. will fill in for him
and join Kemper in the No. 31 at Road America.
Fifteen GS and 17 ST cars are on the entry list for Saturday's two-hour test on
the 4.048-mile, 14-turn road course in Wisconsin's scenic Kettle Moraine. Friday
is devoted to practice at 10 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. A third practice session is slated
for 10:15 a.m. on Saturday before ST qualifying at 10:45 a.m. and GS qualifying
15 minutes later. The open-grid fan walk is at 3:35 p.m. and the green flag drops
on the two-hour race at 4:30 p.m. Those times are Central.
Live video streaming and live timing and scoring will be available on imsa.com and
imsa.tv. The television broadcast will be on FOX Sports 1 on Sunday, Aug. 13 from
1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern.

Pre-race quotes follow:
Mike Bavaro, team owner:
Please share with us about the driver change scenario from Devin to Colin and why
the change was made. Why/how was Colin selected to fill the coveted spot?
"Devin Jones is driving this weekend at Watkins Glen in the NASCAR Xfinity race
on Saturday, making him unavailable. Colin Thompson and Bodymotion have worked together
in some Porsche Club Racing coaching roles before, and we've always wanted to see
how we would work together on track. With Devin driving in the NASCAR Xfinity series
at Watkins Glen this weekend it was the perfect opportunity to try things out. Colin
is another talented young driver from the Northeast. He won the IMSA Porsche GT3
Cup championship two out of the three seasons he raced in it. Colin is also leading
the IMSA LMP3 championship this season."
Trent Hindman, co-driver, No. 12 Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman GT4:
Do you have anything interesting planned for your strategy for this race?
"As of right now, no, but we'll find out come race day. Road America is a track
where the Cayman GT4 is not expected to set the pace, so we will see what our situation
looks like following practice."
There are only four races left. You're leading the GS points, but the competition
is intense. What is it going to take to win the championship?
"Keeping it simple; stay smart and minimize mistakes, on and off track. We are coming
to two racetracks where we are not expecting to be setting the pace by any means,
so maximizing our points will require similar thinking as to what we did at Lime
Rock. A full-on driver-strategy change like that will need to be evaluated during
practice, but it is certainly possible that we may have to run the same thing. We
will see."
What would you like Road America fans to know about you and the Bodymotion team?
"We adore beer and brats just as much as they do."
What is your favorite part of the Road America track, and why?
"The Carousel and the Kink. They are two corners that always seem to work well for
me. Just the challenge of trying to carry that 0.1 mile per hour extra every lap
 makes it pretty exciting too!"
Where does Road America fit on your list of favorite tracks? Why?
"It's up there because once again we return to a classic American road racing circuit.
It has very long straights and sweepers followed by lots of hard braking zones and
some pretty big elevation changes. I tend to like the shorter, rhythm-based tracks
a little more, but Road America is fast, and I don't think any driver will complain
about that!"
Do you have any special Road America memories you can share briefly?
"The first time I drove a car that produces downforce was at Road America sometime
in late 2010. It was just the perfect track for it too, with the Carousel being
almost flat out and the Kink became just another part of the backstraight. I have
to remind myself now when driving the Porsche that the Kink does require a little
bit of a lift!"
How do you like your brat?
"Simple. Sauerkraut."
Cameron Cassels, co-driver, No. 12 Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman GT4:
What would you like Road America fans to know about you and the Bodymotion team?
"I believe the entire Bodymotion team has demonstrated its perseverance this year
against an incredibly competitive list of teams. No matter what is thrown our way,
we never give up!"
Do you have anything interesting planned for your strategy for this race?
"I cannot really comment on the strategy yet; I will leave that up to our engineer,
Marc Manning. You can bet that he's working on it!"
In what ways are you different now than you were the first time you raced at Road
America?
"There have definitely been a few races since last year at this time. Race car drivers
all crave more and more seat time. Running in Pirelli World Challenge as well as
IMSA has provided some additional seat time since my last race at Road America."
What is your favorite part of the Road America track, and why?
"The entire track is a lot of fun to race on. There are a lot of great passing opportunities
around the track. That, and three long straights to really stretch your legs, makes
for a great track!"
There are only four races left. You're leading the GS points, but the competition
is intense. What is it going to take to win the championship?
"Flawless execution is what it will take to win this championship. As everyone has
seen, the competition this year is very high. Everybody at Bodymotion has a hand
to play in where we are now and where we end up at the end of the season. This
includes not only the crew at the track, but also back at the shop. We all need
to dig in and push hard for strong finishes for the remainder of the year."
Drake Kemper, co-driver, No. 31 Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman:
What is your favorite part of the Road America track, and why?
"It's a track with an amazing amount of passing opportunities so you always have
to be ready to strike. But I have to say that the town of Elkhart Lake is my favorite
part about it. It's a lovely place."
Where does Road America fit on your list of favorite tracks? Why?
"It's certainly up there. I always seem to have a good amount of pace here."
Do you have any special Road America memories you can share briefly?
"I've taken quite a few podiums at Road America, but I have to say my win in 2014
against Ben Albany by just 0.007 of a second is my favorite memory."
How do you like your brat?
"Are you kidding? Is there a wrong way to eat them? They're delicious every way!"
You just joined this team at the beginning of the year, and now you're going to
be getting a new co-driver for this race. What is it like to be the new kid on the
roster at Bodymotion? How can you help Colin adjust? In what ways is Bodymotion
unlike other teams you've worked with?
"I'm confident that Colin will fit right in just like I did. The Bodymotion team
is extremely inviting and Colin is used to a lot of different teams as it is. I
truly think that we will have the pace for an amazing result this weekend. And
I wish Devin the best of luck at Watkins Glen!"

Colin Thompson, substitute co-driver,
No. 31 Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman

Colin Thompson, substitute co-driver, No. 31 Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman:
How did the chance to sub for Devin come about? Have you ever driven with Bodymotion
in the past? Do you know anyone on the team? Was Porsche involved?
"I recently did some coaching for one of Bodymotion's drivers, and Geoff [Abel,
the team's director of competition] and I hit it off right away. At that point it
was inevitable we would work together sometime!"
How many Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge races have you driven in before? Were
any of them at Road America?
"I have only run a few races before in this series, and never at Road America."
You drive in a lot of different series. How many races will you be driving in at
Road America, and what are they?
"This weekend my sole focus is performing well for Bodymotion in the ST car."
What is your favorite part of the Road America track, and why?
"I love the high-speed action this circuit brings. You really have to be precise
and confident to be quick around here!"
Where does Road America fit on your list of favorite tracks? Why?
"It's surely up top. This circuit always seems to bring a lot of attention from
the fans and tension from the teams."
Do you have any special Road America memories you can share briefly?
"I've had some incredible results here racing in the Porsche Cup series, and look
to continue them in the Cayman."
How do you like your brat?
"Medium and crispy!"

Devin Jones, Bodymotion ST driver competing in Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity race at
 Watkins Glen:
What team and car will you be driving in the Xfinity race at Watkins Glen, and what
are the primary sponsors?
"No. 07 Chevy Camaro for SS-Green Light Racing sponsored by VeriStor."
How many Xfinity races have you been in before?
"I have experience in NASCAR-sanctioned events, including the NASCAR Camping World
Truck Series. However, this will be my first start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
I am excited to make my debut at Watkins Glen, a track I have experience on."
How did this opportunity come about?
"With my background in stock car racing and experience in road racing, I knew this
could be a possibility to one day run a NASCAR race on a road course. When the opportunity
was presented from SS-Green Light Racing, VeriStor jumped on board and made it happen.
I couldn't be more excited to race on a huge stage. I have to thank Bobby Dotter
and the SS-Green Light team for the opportunity to drive their car and VeriStor
for their amazing support. Lastly, it is bittersweet since I will be missing Road
America with the Bodymotion Racing guys. I have to thank Mike and Geoff for supporting
my plans to run the NASCAR event. I will be keeping up with the action from Road
America all weekend and I wish them all the best of luck. I look forward to be
back in the seat of the No. 31 Bodymotion Cayman at VIR."
