NASA Invites Public to Celebrate 100 Years of Aerospace Breakthroughs

WASHINGTON, June 29, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NASA invites the public to three days of discussion and storytelling with notable aerospace experts to mark the 100th anniversary of the agency's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. Portions of the event will air live on NASA Television and the agency's website.

Keynote speakers include Jean-Yves Le Gall, president of France's space agency, former NASA Deputy Administrator Dava Newman, and representatives from NASA, related government organizations, industry and academia.

Sept. 22: Ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Katherine G. Johnson Computational Research Facility at Langley.
Oct. 21: Langley Open House, featuring tours of facilities and activities.
October through March 2018: photography exhibit at the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, Virginia, that showcases Langley's 100-year history.
