Brothers Kyle and Cody continued to run at or near the front of the pack for much of the weekend during the annual Brush Run races at the TORC Big House Brawl in Crandon, Wisconsin. In fact, Kyle Kleiman outran the PRO-Light field during both Round 5 and 6. The two familiar black and yellow Ponsse Maxxis Tire PRO-Lights were the talk of the paddock as the family affair puts some of the fastest PRO-Light race trucks on the track every time out. Saturday morning qualifying was no different as Kyle Kleiman set fast lap time with a 1:24.481 as Cody was just 0.90 seconds back in fourth. Saturday's Round 5 action saw both Kyle and Cody looking to chase down Shawn Morris during the first half of the race. Suddenly Cody was off the track with a suspension issue in the #48 Ponsse Maxxis Tire truck. Meanwhile Kyle found his way past Morris to take the win. Afterwards team leader and father Mark Kleiman commented, "It really looked like we would have our first 1-2 finish, but a small nut on the #48 failed taking Cody out for the day." The next afternoon the Kleiman Brothers went back to work and the Ponsse trucks were hunting down Shawn Morris once again. Early on Cody was running second as younger brother Kyle was holding the final podium spot. Just before the mandatory caution, Cody began experiencing brake issues slowing down the pace of the #48. On the restart, Kyle made a great move on Morris to take the lead and continued on for his fourth win in a row. "Our family works hard in fields and we play hard at track," noted Kyle Kleiman. "The competition is really strong in PRO-Light and the need to be fast and consistent not only drives me to be my best, but my brother and the entire team as well. Thanks to Ponsse for all their support, this is a big weekend for them, not just with the racing, but with the working demo the company put together on Friday was really important. They are a great partner at the track and in the forest. I also have to thank Aaron with Maxxis Tire with all the great tires giving us the edge to come out on top." After three rounds of racing, Kyle Kleiman leads the TORC PRO-Light Championship standing as Cody is only seven points out of second place.
