RE: Liberty Mutual: Teen Driving Tips and Stats for Graduation
Hello Carey,
I hope all is well. We saw that you posted about the safe driving tips for graduation<http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2017/05/16/382411-liberty-mutual-teen-driving-tips-and-stats-for-graduation.html> that we sent you yesterday and are very excited that you found them a fit!
We did notice that the piece is actually the email I sent the other day, including my signature. Would you be able to update it so that my signature and the email introduction are removed?
We would very much appreciate it!
Very best,
Cody

Subject: Liberty Mutual: Teen Driving Tips and Stats for Graduation
Hi Carey,
For graduating high school students, May and June are exciting and busy months, as they finish up classes and exams, celebrate graduation and enjoy their last summer before heading off to college.
If you are working on a spring or summer teen driving story, below are a few teen driving stats from a recent study conducted by Liberty Mutual Insurance and SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) to round out your piece.
* Road trip playlist: Two in three (66%) of teens say that using music apps while driving is dangerous or distracting, but nearly half (46%) of licensed teens still admit to using them behind the wheel.
* GPS & other apps: While 41 percent of licensed teens explicitly state that using navigation apps while driving is dangerous or distracting, 58 percent report using them on the road.
* Passengers pile in: While 58 percent of all parents indicated that they always or often enforce passenger restriction driving laws, only 34 percent of licensed teens indicated that parents always or often enforce these laws. Furthermore, 80 percent of licensed teens have driven with 3 or more passengers in the car.
* Call for a sober ride: 76 percent of parents indicated that they have told their teen to call them for a ride to avoid driving under the influence; however, only 51 percent of licensed teens would consider calling a parent for a ride in this situation.
I can also coordinate an interview with Dr. Gene Beresin, who is a Senior Advisor on adolescent psychiatry with Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) and Executive Director of The Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds at Mass General Hospital. Dr. Beresin can provide safe driving tips for parents to discuss with their teens this graduation season
Let me know if you have any questions about the teen driving survey, or if you'd like to coordinate an interview with Dr. Beresin.
Very best,
Cody
