SANTA ANA, Calif.—Iteris, Inc. , the global leader in applied informatics for transportation and agriculture, today announced new innovative features in the latest versions of its digital agriculture applications WeatherPlot™ for mobile and ClearAg® Mobile that deliver expanded and more precise visibility into weather and soil conditions for growers, agronomists, crop scientists and crop consultants.

WeatherPlot 2.0 for mobile is now available in the App Store and on Google Play. A key new addition to the app is a Custom Date Selector that can pull up historical data for a range of up to 365-days going back more than 30 years. Previous versions limited historical data visualization to 60-days in the past. The app continues to provide forecasted data for up to nine days in the future, and now gives users the ability to store up to twenty locations on one account.

ClearAg Mobile 2.2 launched in the App Store last week. Iteris has also added several new features to its ClearAg Mobile app since launching it one year ago including nitrogen and harvest advisors.

“The ability to query environmental data as far back 1980 allows WeatherPlot users to expand value beyond product performance claims,” said Caleb Midgley, WeatherPlot product manager, at Iteris. “For researchers, crop insurance professionals and crop consultants, WeatherPlot now provides additional improvements in R&D field trials, and further reduces time and costs for product performance interests, and also expands users’ ability to provide value-added, science-backed decision support to growers.”

WeatherPlot helps agronomists and crop consultants identify ideal environmental conditions for treatments and make recommendations based on forecasted or historical weather and soil analytics. Additionally, WeatherPlot helps global crop science companies efficiently measure treatment efficacy and advance the research and development of products such as herbicides, fungicides and insecticides.

ClearAg Mobile is an adaptive forecasting engine for digital agriculture that combines weather and agronomic data with machine learning technology. Powered by the ClearAg platform, ClearAg Mobile provides precise and relevant data for specific field operations on an iPhone or iPad. As real-time weather events appear in the forecast, ClearAg Mobile provides actionable insights, informing real-time decisions such as when to plant, spray, irrigate, fertilize and harvest through all phases of the crop-growing season.

Iteris ClearAg is a leading digital agriculture platform that delivers weather, water, soil and crop health data and advisory services to growers, researchers and other agribusinesses who need accurate, location-based information available on a worldwide basis. Iteris is the only weather information and data science company to apply Land Surface Modeling (LSM) technology to agronomic problems.

WeatherPlot 2.0 is now available for download in the App Store and Google Play. Both apps will be demonstrated at the 2017 World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco, CA on March 28-29, 2017. Iteris’ Jeff Keiser, vice president, Agriculture and Weather Analytics, will speak on a panel at the Summit on March 28 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time on “The Future of Soil Health & the Plant Microbiome.”
