About 13 months ago I tried, for the first time "Not Your Father's Root Beer," and I thought it was so delicious that I wrote a review about it. As I wrote at the time, and then repeated to as many people as I could, it is the root beer I waited 60 years for.

About the only thing better than "Not Your Father's Root Beer" was to have a "Not Your Father's Root Beer" ice cream float.

Well, this afternoon, I took a trip to Trader Joe's and found something that might be even more delicious than NYF Root Beer, "Uncle Bob's Whiskey" root beer flavored whiskey.

Interestingly, there's a little write up about a mythical "Uncle Bob" on the label, that describes him as being everyone's warm, friendly favorite uncle. It happens to perfectly describe my business partner, Bob Gordon, who I know is a favorite uncle (and unofficial uncle) to lot's of people.

If you're a root beer nut, like me, and you agree that NYF is fantastic, then you will love this whiskey. And considering how fantastic NYF is in a root beer float, I would have to imagine that Uncle's Bob's over ice cream will probably be out of this world. I plan on conducting a taste test of it this evening.

Uncle Bob's is 70 proof, so it's a full bodied whiskey. It's produced by a distillery in Mira Loma, California; and you can get more information at UncleBobsWhiskey.com.

L'chaim, and enjoy...responsibly.
