He joins a competitive lineup anchored by longtime racing rival Tyler McQuarrie, a seven-time 25 Hours of Thunderhill winner. "I've known Tyler since 2003 and always respected him for trying different disciplines of motorsport, and for being competitive in all of them," said Foust, whose own diverse driving resume includes championship titles in rally, drifting and rallycross, along with competition in many other disciplines. Also sharing driving duties are 2016 Petit LeMans winner Marc Miller, 24 Hour Barcelona class winner Tom Dyer and veteran racer/owner Pat O'Keefe. Multi-time champion Foust's 2016 competition season included appearances in three series. Driving for the Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross team, he earned second in the Global Rallycross Championship. He made a pair of competitive appearances in the FIA World Rallycross championship, and he returned to Formula Drift as a guest driver. "I'm going to be on the steep side of the learning curve when it comes to endurance racing in this new car and I'm looking forward to the experience," said Foust. "Thunderhill is one of my favorite tracks and our Lamborghini is going to be fun to drive." Foust's return to the 25 Hours of Thunderhill for the first time in nine years is part of a full slate of off-season activity that includes stunt driving, television appearances and plenty of time behind the wheel. He just wrapped filming on a new action movie starring Will Smith, spent the weekend in Argentina providing commentary on the World RX season finale, and is slated to race in an upcoming round of the VW Fun Cup. This weekend's 25 Hours of Thunderhill race starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, and concludes at noon on Sunday. ABOUT TANNER FOUST Tanner Foust is a versatile and multi-talented driver known for his supreme car control and a proven track record of podium placements, national championships and world records.
