Maserati North America US Sales October 2016

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Nov. 1, 2016 -- Maserati's highly anticipated new Levante SUV has helped Maserati North America increase sales by 10.8 percent in October 2016, compared to September 2016, the company today announced.

"Maserati North America's positive sales performance reflects the passion and leadership of our dealer network," said Tom Shanley, Head of Maserati North America. "The recent arrival of the Levante SUV will further broaden Maserati's position in the luxury marketplace."

Total sales in North America for October 2016 were 1,377 vehicles, compared to 1,243 vehicles in September of 2016, an increase of 10.8 percent. Sales were up from October 2015, year over year for the same month, 13.2 percent. In the United States, total October 2016 sales were 1,304 vehicles.

Powered by a 3.0 liter V6 Twin-Turbo gasoline engine built by Ferrari, Levante's potent engines offer either 345 hp (Levante) or 424 hp (Levante S). All engines are combined with the "Q4" intelligent all-wheel drive system, which can transfer torque between the axles instantaneously when required - and an 8-speed automatic gearbox, with integrated Start&Stop System. Levante S (424 hp) covers 0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds and achieves a top speed of 164 mph. The Levante (345 hp) accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 156 mph.
