LAS VEGAS—Waylens, Inc., the automotive camera company, announced today the latest feature available on its Horizon camera system – GO!. The new, track-only feature allows drivers to virtually compare 0 - 30 MPH and 0 - 60 MPH acceleration times with any car and driver on any certified track around the world.

The announcement comes on the heels of Waylens’ appearance this week at SEMA, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. The company is the presenting sponsor of SEMA Ignited, the official SEMA Show after-party. The event will be held immediately after the SEMA Show closes on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. PDT at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Throughout the week, Waylens will be showcasing the Horizon, the first automotive camera system designed specifically for drivers, including the newly-released GO! virtual track racing feature at Booth #30282.

With a simple swipe on the Horizon OLED screen, GO! immediately immerses drivers in a realistic time-trial, including the following features:

  • Timed Start and Accelerate-to-Start Options
    • Users can initiate a 5-second countdown by clicking on the Horizon remote or a countdown can also be engaged by tapping “START!” on the OLED screen
    • The timer can also be programmed to begin as soon as the car begins to accelerate
  • Virtual Leaderboard
    • Performance times and videos at 0-30 MPH and 0-60 MPH will be listed on a live, virtual leaderboard, accessible through the Waylens app
  • Safety features
    • The GO! feature appears with a “track only” reminder on the display, as users are expected to enjoy the feature in a certified track environment

“As we continue to explore new and innovative ways to inspire the thrill of driving, GO! reimagines time trials on a global scale,” said Haowei Zhang, CEO at Waylens, Inc. “This feature will allow driving enthusiasts to compete with anyone, on any track in a fun and safe manner, no matter where they are located.”

The Horizon automotive camera system captures every aspect of your drive with a high-performance camera, a steering wheel-mounted remote control, and an on-board diagnostic system (OBD-II) connector that overlays real-time performance data over stunning HD video. The system also includes a mobile and desktop app which enables drivers to identify, edit and share their most interesting moments right from the road. Customers can pre-order the Horizon and enjoy a $50 discount on the retail price for $449 MSRP on shop.waylens.com before it becomes available for purchase on November 15.
