Kia Canada September 2016 Sales

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 3, 2016 /CNW/ - Kia Canada Inc. reported 6,548 vehicles sold in the month of September, up 10.2 per cent compared to 2015.  Calendar year-to-date sales are up 4.4 per cent versus the same period last year with 53,081 total sales reported.

The month of September marked Kia Canada's best year-to-date sales results for Sportage and Sorento carlines. Sorento has achieved 12,209 total sales year-to-date, up 10.9 per cent year over year. With a 73.1 per cent increase over the same period last year, Sportage achieved 8,504 sales year-to-date. The Sportage also achieved the best September sales on record totaling 1,221 units sold, representing a 72.7 per cent increase versus 2015.  

The month of September also witnessed strong sales for the Soul carline, which includes the award winning Soul EV, with sales totaling 1,267 units.  The Forte compact line-up also experienced strong September results with 1,142 units sold, achieving a 43.6 per cent increase versus September sales in 2015.
