Acorn Stairlifts Releases New Fleet of Eco-Friendly Vehicles
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 20, 2016 -- Acorn Stairlifts, the world leader in stairlifts, announces the release of its new fleet of over 120 eco-friendly vehicles. Acorn Stairlifts has teamed with Toyota Motor Company to have a positive impact on the environment and their employees with the rollout of its Acorn Stairlifts Prius fleet. These eco-friendly vehicles, which average more than 51 MPG, will save over $1 Million in fuel costs over the next four years. This savings will be reinvested into their customers, products and employees.
This initiative is a three-pronged approach that will assist Acorn Stairlifts with recruiting and maintaining the best possible employees, who will no longer have to use their personal vehicles to provide service to their customers. In addition, it will have a tremendously powerful impact on the environment, saving over 100,000 gallons of fuel in 2017 alone. With the company's continual growth, the annual fuel savings will continue to increase each year. The new fleet will also increase Acorn Stairlifts' brand awareness across the country with the branded graphic wraps on each vehicle.
This fleet of vehicles will roll out in September and October of 2016 and will primarily be used by Acorn Stairlifts' team of Customer Advisors, who service every major market in America. These Customer Advisors drive approximately 3,000 miles per month, or around 36,000 miles per year. The current MPG of the average car in America is around 23.6. The Prius vehicles will average over 51 MPG, more than double the current average.
