Harringtons See Personal Best at Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit

While Michigan-based brothers Jeff and Chris Harrington share the driver's seat of their '92 Mustang, Jeff is behind the wheel of the blue beast for battle at the Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit presented by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, which began Sept. 16 and runs through Sept. 18, 2016 at Summit Motorsports Park.

He's entered In Precision Turbo & Engine Outlaw 10.5, and in early qualifying, he blasted to a 4.20 and 189 mph followed by a 4.16 and 183 mph, and is currently qualified fifth out of a field of 15 going into late qualifying.

That elapsed-time as well as that mph are personal bests, as Harrington had previously been 4.19 and 187 mph with his combination consisting of a turbocharged small-block Ford which sips alcohol and rolls on a Team Z Motorsports-tuned chassis.

"The weekend is going really good, and we've run faster every pass," said Jeff.  "Chris is tuning conservatively because of the heat, but there's a little more in it."

Catch Jeff and his fellow diehard drivers for final qualifying and eliminations at the Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit presented by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels at Summit Motorsports Park, 1300 State Route 18, Norwalk, Ohio.  BangShift.com is proving a livestream of the well-attended event.
