Porsche Canada Sales - July 2016

July 2016: 55^th consecutive record month

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Aug. 3, 2016; Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. (PCL), importer and distributor of Porsche vehicles in Canada, today reported monthly sales of 738 units in July 2016. This represents the best July in company history.

The warm weather highlighted PCL's sports car offerings throughout July. The mid-engine Cayman experienced its best single month ever with 57 units, yielding a 78 per cent growth when compared to last July. The Boxster/718 model lineup witnessed an equally impressive increase of 60 per cent with 72 vehicle sales, strongly driven by the new 2017 718 Boxster. The iconic Porsche 911 achieved 164 new vehicle sales in July, marking the second overall best month ever for the model, with the best month ever achieved just two months ago in May.

"Complementing the strength of Porsche's appealing product portfolio offerings and sales records we also began to increase focus on classic vehicles with the first Certified Porsche Classic Partner to open in Canada at Porsche Centre Victoria last month."

Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned sold 164 units, with a year to date total 21 per cent ahead of the same time in 2015.

Porsche Cars Canada, an independent subsidiary of Porsche AG, imports and distributes Porsche vehicles in Canada. The company employs a team of 36 in sales, aftersales, finance, marketing, and public relations. Last calendar year, Porsche sold an unprecedented 6,413 units in Canada, up 30% over 2014.
