BAR 1 Motorsports Back on Track with No. 20 GasMonkey PC at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Fighting back, the BAR 1 Motorsports crew rolled into Canadian Tire Motorsports Park with the No. 20 GasMonkey / Southwest Funding / Top 1 Oil PC race-ready. After a massive shunt in the early stages of last week’s Sahlen 6 Hours at the Glen, the BAR 1 crew went right to work reassembling the car. What might have taken a whole week in the shop, the stellar crew of BAR 1 accomplished in two days on the grounds of Watkins Glen. The result is a race ready car that finished P2 in the first practice of the weekend. “These guys really put it all on the line,�?? said team owner, Brian Alder. “Not only did they get the job done, they got it done well. The body was completely replaced and the fit and finish matches the quality of any build we’ve ever done. It’s really quite impressive.�?? The team is in Bowmanville, Ontario for the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix, July 7, 8 & 9. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (formerly Mosport Park and Mosport International Raceway) is a multi-track motorsport featuring a 2.459-mile 10-turn road course with several elevations changes. It is a favorite among many drivers on the IMSA circuit. “We have Johnny Mowlem and Matt McMurry in the car this weekend,�?? continued Alder. “This is a good combination for us. The track is well suited to the car and both Matt and Johnny are very fast here… I anticipate a good finish.�?? The Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix takes the green flag at 11:05 a.m., Sunday, July 10.
