Robert Stout to Make USAC Debut at the "Carb Night Classic...The Race
Before the 500" Featuring the USAC Silver Crown Championship

Brownsburg, Indiana - Robert Stout, a two-time National Champion in sports
car racing and reigning King of the Wing Rookie of the Year, will compete
against the best of the USAC Silver Crown series competitors Friday night
May 27th at Lucas Oil Raceway in the "Carb Night Classic...The Race Before
the 500".
The month of May in Indianapolis is a special time for all race fans and
2016 is a pinnacle year with the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.
While the 500 is the marque event there is no shortage of racing in the
Indianapolis area for the entire month - the prestigious Carb Night Classic
will take place on Friday night before the running of the 500 in front
of a packed house of racing dignitaries.
Stout will join Silver Crown starTanner Swanson as a teammate driving
for Mike Bowman of Bowman Racing in Brad Armstrong's Beast chassis Silver
Crown car. Stout will make his debut with the support of his long time
sponsor Lucas Oil Products as they debut the Lucas Oil Racing TV No.
21 machine.
Bowman has had incredible success with his racing endeavors as a team
owner over the years including multiple wins at the Little 500 with Eric
Gordon behind the wheel and wins at the Carb Night Classic as
recently as last year with Tanner Swanson.
"We are part-time racers at this point," said Bowman. "We don't run the
entire Silver Crown series but when we do come out we have full intentions
of winning! We've been very fortunate in this industry and have had the
great pleasure of working with some very talented individuals along the
way. Our entire team is made up of volunteers and they all love what they
do. We don't do it much but when we do we're ready! We tested Stout a
couple of years ago and he did a solid job right away. He was racing sports
cars at the time and schedules just didn't work out. Lately he's been
driving a winged sprint car for Davey Hamilton and has done a great job
so the timing just made sense to put him in the second car and give him
a shot. We know the car is good as Ryan Newman set fast time with it last
year but Robert is brand new to the Silver Crown game and these 100 lap
events can get pretty tricky at the end. I'm sure he'll be fine and anything
in the top 5 will be a successful night for him. His Crew Chief Brent
Elmore is extremely talented, Tanner will work with him and Eric
Gordon will be his spotter so Robert will be surrounded by some very
good people."

Stout will immediately follow his USAC Silver Crown debut weekend with
his first appearance at the prestigious two-day Diamond Cup event held
at Meridian Speedway in Meridian ID, June 3rd & 4th behind the wheel
of his No. 23 GT Motorsports prepared Lucas Oil, SC Fuels, King of the
Wing sprint car.
