MARKHAM, Ontario—Combined February sales of 9,586 units by the Honda and Acura divisions of Honda Canada Inc. represented a 15% increase over last year's sales. The Honda Automobile Division reported February sales of 8,553 units, up 19% over last year. The Acura Division reported February sales of 1,033 units, down 7% over last year.

Robust sales of the stylish and versatile Honda Pilot, plus strong consumer support of our core models, pushed Honda Canada to a 15 percent increase in monthly sales over 2015," said Dave Gardner, Senior Vice President of Operations, Honda Canada Inc. "Weve heard positive feedback from the Canadian auto shows thus far in that customers are eagerly awaiting the innovative Honda Ridgeline pick-up truck, set to hit the Canadian market later this year. The wait is over for customers in the luxury market, as the bold NSX supercar from Acura is now available for custom orders through authorized dealers across the country."

"February sales of the Honda Civic, Canada's best-selling passenger car in Canada for 18 consecutive years, remain strong, up 10 percent year-over-year. The epic journey of the 10th-generation Civic will continue this spring, as the 2016 Civic Coupe is set to launch as the latest addition to Honda's expansive and sporty new Civic lineup," added Gardner.

February Highlights:

  • Honda Accord, CR-V and Pilot all posted double digit gains over 2015 results.
  • The versatile Pilot saw a 79% increase in February on sales of 507 units, setting its 10th monthly record in 11 months.
  • Acura MDX finished February with sales of 316 units, up 32% over 2015.
