ST. LOUIS, Jan. 28, 2016 -- The Gateway Area Acura Dealers (GAADA) will be hosting a Live Art Show at the 2016 St. Louis Auto Show January 28-31 to kick off its "Great Cars. Great Cause." campaign. In support of the local military, the GAADA will be donating to the Fisher House Foundation.
Along with Acura's ongoing national Military Appreciation Offer, the
GAADA will donate a portion from every new Acura sold to the local Fisher
House, a non-profit organization that provides "a home away from home" to
the families and caregivers of the U.S. servicemen and women during their
time of need. The fundraising initiative will be going on from Jan. 28 to Feb. 29.
"We are blessed to be able to support our community, especially members
of the military," says Tom Fogerty, general
manager (GM) of Mungenast St. Louis Acura and association president.
Art-duo Rather Severe will begin hand-painting a unique and patriotic mural on a brand-new 2016 MDX inspired by the campaign. Since 2010, the team has worked together to "bring [their] combined aesthetic styles to the world of murals, illustrations, and public art, in an effort to inspire the community and enrich the experience of being in public spaces."
"The 2016 MDX is already a work of art, so we are excited to see what Rather Severe can do when they take it for a spin," says Steve Brown, GM of Frank Leta Acura.
The Live Art Show will begin on Jan. 28 at
the Acura booth #10. The auto show is also offering military discount days
that include $2.00 off adult admission for
all active duty military and active members for the reserve. After the
auto show, the "Great Cars. Great Cause." MDX will be on display at Frank
Leta Acura and Mungenast St. Louis Acura from Jan.
31 to Feb. 15 and Feb. 15 to Feb. 29,
respectively.
