Audi Triumphs at the Hankook 24H Dubai

DUBAI, UAE, January 18, 2016.

The Belgian Audi Club Team WRT won the Hankook 24H Dubai. After 588 laps, they crossed the finish line on Saturday ahead of Black Falcon and C.ABT Racing. The Ventus Premium racing tyres from Hankook delivered a perfect performance.  

The winners Stuart Leonard and Michael Meadows (both British), Alain Ferté (France) and Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium) took the lead after 15 hours. Team Black Falcon was rewarded with second place overall. The C.ABT Racing squad inherited a podium spot.

Manfred Sandbichler, Hankook's Motorsport Director Europe: "We're proud that there were again no tyre-related retirements. Our Hankook crew worked hard so all drivers were supplied with good tyres."

Thomas Baltes, Hankook's race engineer: "Our Ventus Race rubber helped perfectly. Even during the slow phases our Ventus Racing tyres coped excellently. It was a perfect performance."

Laurens Vanthoor (Audi R8 LMS), Belgian Audi Club Team WRT: "The Hankook tyres worked very well. We were able to push the entire time. During night the grip level was equally as during the day. It was fun driving on Hankook."

Abdulaziz Al Faisal (Mercedes SLS AMG GT3), Black Falcon: "The Hankook tyres did a great job, particularly during the night. The slicks were consistent. A strong performance from Hankook."

Christer Jöns (Audi R8 LMS), C.ABT Racing: "Hankook's racing tyres are perfect for long distance races. They were very durable, incredibly consistent and offered grip. We could even drive double stints on them."
