Torrance, CA -- January 11, 2016: Baker Skateboards, under its partnership with Scion, hit the road in a brand new iM and iA for a demo at their favorite park in San Francisco. They stopped along the way not only to shred a few local spots, but to ride along with professional drift racer Ken Gushi in a Scion FR-S release series 1.0. Watch the video here:

The Baker skate team recently took a road trip with a Scion iA and a Scion iM as part of the Scion x Baker Skateboards project. The journey started off at the Buttonwillow Raceway in Buttonwillow, California, where they met up with professional race car driver (and Formula DRIFT pilot of the GReddy Racing Scion FR-S) Ken Gushi.

The Baker crew was given hot laps around the track in a “special” Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0 Race Car driven by Gushi and then they had some fun out on the open tarmac with their skateboards. When will you ever see people skating on the track? Then they brought out the ramp so Baker boss Andrew Reynolds could kick flip over the Yuzu Yellow Scion TRD FR-S Project Car.

From there the team headed north to the Bay Area, enjoying the features of these two new models of Scions. Pro riders Reynolds, Don “Nuge” Nguyen, Cyril Jackson, Tristan Funkhouser, and Theotis Beasley took it to some spots in San Francisco, then headed across the Golden Gate Bridge to a skate demo. After that, they piled back in the Scions and headed back down the coast to Baker Headquarters in Southern California, ready for another adventure.
