Heffernan Insurance Brokers Representative Elected Chairman of California Trucking Association

SAN FRANCISCO -- December 28, 2015: Owen Oakley, Vice President at Heffernan Insurance Brokers, has been named Chairman for the San Francisco chapter of the California Trucking Association. Owen previously served as a Steering & Planning Committee representative for the association.

His new duties will include overseeing membership growth and the overall success of the San Francisco Bay Area Unit while also maintaining financial resources to offer members continuing education and grow new initiatives.

"Our industry is changing at an alarming pace," said Oakley. "With technological and governmental changes, it's what we do right now as a team within our industry that will have ripple effects down the road. I'm excited for the challenge to grow our membership to create a bigger voice in Sacramento and assist those who are so important to our economy."

Owen currently serves as the Transportation Practice Leader at Heffernan Insurance Brokers and brings to the association his expertise in commercial transportation and trucking.
