Toyota Makes Water Conservation 'A
List'
TORRANCE, CA -- December 17, 2015: Sleigh bells ring, are you
listening? In the lane, snow is glistening…but
don’t worry, Toyota will capture that runoff and reuse the
water.
The company recently received top marks for its global water conversation efforts by CDP, the world’s premiere environmental disclosure agency. Toyota is one of only eight companies featured in the first ever “A List” for water security within the CDP annual global water report.
Toyota’s North American water conservation efforts saved more than 54 million gallons of water in fiscal year 2015 alone. That’s 82 Olympic-size swimming pools worth of water. This “lot” of liquid was conserved through efforts such as additional water filtration in paint operations, rain water collection, native, drought resistant landscaping and water metering.
