Proterra’s 2016 Purchase Order is higher than 2015 for the UQM PowerPhaseŽ HD220(+) systems. Proterra currently has an order backlog that stretches more than a year and this order represents only a portion of the growth expected by Proterra.
The new Proterra Catalyst bus, powered by UQM PowerPhaseŽ HD220, broke records in gradeability, low weight, and acceleration at the Altoona Bus Research and Testing Center, which is the transportation industry’s gold standard.
The recently announced UQM HD(+) enhanced systems will provide substantially improved performance over the current UQM PowerPhaseŽ HD220 systems. These new HD(+) systems represent an unprecedented and unmatched capability in full electric bus propulsion systems.
LONGMONT, CO -- November 6, 2015: UQM Technologies, Inc. (NYSE MKT:UQM) today announced the receipt of a new purchase order from Proterra for the UQM PowerPhaseŽ 220 HD(+) motor and controller systems with deliveries starting in early January 2016. These units will be used in the Proterra Catalyst Bus program for fulfillment of current orders for this new state-of-the-art UQM powered bus.
