All Vehicles Will Be Self-Driving, Says Musk

MCLEAN, VA November 5, 2015: NACSonline reported that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors said "All cars will go fully autonomous in the long-term," in response to a question on the electric automaker's third-quarter earnings.

In fact, it will be "quite unusual to see cars that don't have full autonomy" in a 15- to 20-year time frame, he said, but sooner for Teslas, reports USA Today.

Musk suggested that self-driving cars will be the choice for all new-car buyers, because today’s vehicles and manual steering by hand will become old-fashioned and deemed inferior. "It will be like owning a horse," he added, as in nice for sentimental value, but not terribly practical for transportation, writes USA Today.
