2016 Fuel Economy Guide Now Available

OAK RIDGE, TN -- November 5, 2015: The 2016 Fuel Economy Guide is now available on-line at fueleconomy.gov (Fuel Economy) and will be available in print in late November at new car dealers, credit unions, and libraries across the country.

The Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy produce the annual Fuel Economy Guide and the fueleconomy.gov website to help car buyers choose the most fuel-efficient vehicle that meets their needs (Find a Car).

Fueleconomy.gov features three Top 10 fuel economy lists for 2016 (Top Ten): Top 10 All Vehicles, Top 10 Excluding All-Electric Vehicles? and Top 10 Excluding All-Electric Vehicles and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles. As of early November, the top vehicle in these three categories, respectively, was the 2016 Chevrolet Spark EV (119 MPGe combined), the 2016 Chevrolet Volt (77 MPGe combined gasoline/electric), and the 2016 Toyota Prius c (50 MPG combined). The complete Top 10 lists are included below, but they are subject to change as new 2016 vehicle data become available. Please stay tuned to fueleconomy.gov (Top Ten) for the latest Top 10 lists.

The website also features the “Best (and Worst) in Class list for 2016: Best-Worst.
