NORTHBROOK, IL -- Aug. 18, 2015: Ride-hailing continues to grow in popularity; whether you're a commuter looking for ways to save on transportation or protect the planet, or a driver trying to set your own schedule and make some extra cash.

Drivers with Lyft are getting a new perk. Allstate Roadside Services (ARS), one of the nation's leading providers of roadside assistance, is announcing it is offering 24/7 pay-per-use roadside assistance to drivers on the Lyft platform, if they find themselves needing help while on the road.

"We're very excited and honored to be selected as Lyft's new U.S. roadside assistance provider," said Pam Dufour, president of Allstate Roadside Services. "We're committed to delivering exceptional service for all drivers of Lyft and their roadside assistance needs."

While no one wants to face a breakdown, it's best to be prepared. Drivers will be able to contact Allstate for a tow, tire change, fuel delivery, lockout or battery jump.

"In just three years, Lyft has become an integral part of Americans' everyday transportation needs," said Oliver Hsiang, VP Partnerships at Lyft. "We are thrilled to see industry leaders like Allstate at the forefront of creating innovative solutions to protect drivers and passengers."

"Allstate is on the leading edge of product and service innovation in our industry and beyond," said Dufour. "Innovation is a critical element of our effort to provide a complete customer experience that emphasizes service, connectedness, safety, preparedness and security."

Allstate Roadside Services has provided roadside assistance for more than 50 years. ARS administers roadside assistance through Allstate Motor Club.
