TORONTO -- May 5, 2015: AlertDriving, the global leader in driver risk management, today announced a strategic new partnership with KPX Sdn Bhd, one of the few driver safety consultants in Malaysia targeting behavior to reduce fleet accidents. Through their new AlertDriving channel partnership, KPX will gain enhanced sales tools and incentives to offer global businesses a fully integrated, training-focused approach to identifying—and mitigating—driver risk exposures throughout the supply chain.

“LMS-ready, fully mobile-optimized and locally hosted on Akamai’s worldwide network, FleetDefenseSM training can be served to any Internet-connected device in over 70 countries”

First assessing drivers for high-risk behaviors, FleetDefenseSM maps courses to individual deficiencies, producing highly personalized programs that offer targeted, training-based metrics on attitude—for any driver around the world.

Traffic accidents happen every two seconds in Malaysia. Every two hours, at least one of them will be fatal, and by the end of the day, nearly 20 lives will be lost. Slowing this trend begins with better driver education, according to KPX. For over seven years, the company’s unbridled passion for road safety has driven its safety consultancy work with some of the largest fleets in the transport industry. KPX identifies three areas where potential risk exposures can lead to accidents—with drivers, vehicles, and the journey itself. Then, focused on each area, it creates management plans targeted to a fleet’s needs to manage a range of risk factors—from driver fitness and hazard awareness to vehicle dynamics, trip planning, and road emergencies.

With FleetDefenseSM, KPX can train thousands of drivers to monitor these risk factors over time—all from one single, cloud-based location, no apps or download required.

“LMS-ready, fully mobile-optimized and locally hosted on Akamai’s worldwide network, FleetDefenseSM training can be served to any Internet-connected device in over 70 countries,” says Rob Martin, Vice President of Sales at AlertDriving.

“Traditionally, fleets have used telematics data, driver records and accident data to identify, assess and predict crash risk. FleetDefenseSM changes that. Using AlertDriving’s behavioural scoring algorithm, KPX can individually map courses to each driver’s specific risk factors. Fleets will gain highly personalized baseline data that they can track weekly, bi-weekly or monthly—before falling scores translate to accident costs.”
