‘Car of the Year’ Awarded to the Formidable Audi A3
PORTLAND, OR -- April 28, 2015: Leading consumer technology publisher Digital Trends named the 2015 winners of its inaugural Car of the Year Awards, including ‘Car of the Year’ award winner, the Audi A3. The Digital Trends Car of the Year Awards shine a spotlight on the best of the best and rate the entire automobile across a variety of metrics: drivability, value, technology, safety, styling, and more.
“Today’s cars are far more than people movers, they’re platforms for technology”
To pick the winners in six categories and one overall “Car of the Year Award,” Digital Trends editors and experts hit the deserts, mountains, highways, and city streets in the Palm Springs area of California cruising three pre-selected routes through canyons, across deserts, and around mountain springs, routes that stretched for as much as two hundred miles. The editors then deliberated to choose the finalists, award winners in each category, and overall award winner.
“Today’s cars are far more than people movers, they’re platforms for technology,” said Nick Jaynes, Automotive Editor at Digital Trends. “Modern cars not only transport us from place to place; they keep us safe, entertain us, and help keep us connected. Accordingly, we wanted to evaluate not just how cars handle but the technology that drives them. We put this year’s nominees through a rigorous testing process, and the winners are true standouts. Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and winners!”
