TALLAHASSEE, FL -- April 15, 2015: Auto Data Direct, Inc. (ADD) today announced the addition of Pennsylvania to its real-time motor vehicle inquiry program for qualified businesses. Companies with a qualified purpose under the state statute and Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) can access real-time registrant, title, and lienholder information to complete business and compliance activities through ADD's web-based program.

ADD's real-time motor vehicle records service, coined DMV123, offers access to more real-time records than any other company of its kind. With access to 33 state databases, including its most recent addition of Pennsylvania, ADD helps businesses and their customers by providing the most up-to-date, accurate information for important transactions affecting a consumer's second most valuable asset.

"Through DMV123, qualified companies like credit unions, banks, insurance companies, automobile dealers and tow/wrecker operators are able to instantly determine the owner of a vehicle, any lienholders that may have an interest, and verify state titling information," said George Armstrong, DMV123's program manager. "Our industry customers benefit from using a single source to obtain this vitally important information instantly without waiting on multiple agencies to verify information."

Armstrong points out that depending on the industry, information is used in a variety of ways. "Lending institutions use our system as part of the underwriting process to better determine the value of a vehicle. Insurers use these records as part of the claims investigation process, automobile dealers benefit when verifying ownership for a trade-in, and tow operators are able to quickly notify vehicle owners when a car is impounded."

ADD is also an approved provider for the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), a nationwide system that includes a history report on more than 96% of all vehicles titled in the United States. NMVTIS vehicle history reports receive title status and odometer updates from state DMV's as well as junk and salvage information reported into the database by insurance companies, salvage pools, and any entity dealing in junk or salvage vehicles. ADD's NMVTIS reports are also enhanced with national theft and lien data.
