STUTTGART -- March 26, 2015:
Available for ordering since 15 January, the CLA Shooting
Brake – the fifth model of the successful compact
class family from Mercedes-Benz – will be dispatched to the
dealerships on 28 March. The new CLA Shooting Brake is initially available
with two diesel engines, four petrol engines and the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive
system and costs only around 600 euros more than the four-door Coupé.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting
Brake ensures maximum leisure value and at the same time underscores the
CLA's high design standards. The roof contour also slopes down gently to
the rear, yet at the same time more headroom is offered than in the
four-door coupé. The entry-level model in the CLA Shooting Brake range is
the CLA 180 (29,809.50 euros) rated at 90 kW (122 hp).
(All prices refer to the recommended retail price in Germany, incl. 19%
VAT).
Above it are the CLA 200 (32,725 euros)
with 115 kW (156 hp) and, each with 155
kW (211 hp), the CLA 250 (39,746 euros), the CLA 250 4MATIC
(41,947.50 euros) and the CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC (45,577 euros) models.
Superior dynamic performance is provided by the top model, the CLA 45
AMG Shooting Brake (57,268.75 euros). Its four-cylinder
turbo engine - the most powerful such engine in series production
worldwide, boasts an output of 265 kW (360
hp).
The two diesel engines in particular excel
with dynamic torque and outstanding efficiency: the CLA 200 CDI (34,539.75
euros) attains 100 kW (136 hp), has a displacement of 2.2
litres and peak torque of 300 Nm. The combined fuel consumption is merely
4.1 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres, and in combination with the dual
clutch transmission 7G-DCT it is as low as 3.9 litres/100 km. The CLA 220
CDI also has a displacement of 2.2 litres, is rated at 130
kW (177 hp) and 350 Nm and runs on only 4.0 litres of diesel
per 100 kilometres. Price: 39,061.75 euros.
Options such as the electrically operated EASY-PACK
tailgate (464.10 euros) and the Load Compartment package (142.80 euros)
improve comfort and variability when it comes to using the load
compartment. Apart from the "cargo" positioning option for the rear-seat
backrests, the Load Compartment package includes a collapsible box, a 12 V
socket and an additional stowage net at the side of the load compartment.
Available on request and for an even more exclusive ambience there is the
load compartment floor with aluminium strips (297.50 euros) as well as
non-slip inserts and a lockable aluminium handle. A folding trailer
coupling with ESP® trailer stabilisation is available for 940.10
euros.
